4/10/08 Projection Screen

  As you know, there will be a screen behind the runway for designers (and RENT-THE-RUNWAY) to project images, logos, artwork, film, etc. during their segment of the fashion show.  The dimensions of the screen is 10 feet wide and  7 1/2 feet tall.  The entire screen does not have to be used but it might be helpful to know the dimensions when developing your backdrop ideas.
 
    As an example, this is what I intend to project during my segment:
 
1.  Projection of a video of me presenting my point-of-view for this collection.  I will be inside a lovely frame which sort of looks like a puppet show.
2.  Then it fades to a backdrop image as the music swells and the models walk down the runway.
3.  As the last model exits, the image fades to my logo and I come out and take my bow and exit.
 
    This is only an example.  You do not have to do anything like this.  A logo or name will also be fine.  Be sure to get your images and program material to me before the deadline, May 1.  If you need volunteer models, let me know.  They are waiting for your calls.  If you have questions, let me know and I will answer them.

3/15/08  There will be an un-manned indoor booth available on Friday May 16,  9:00a - 4:00p.  Anyone involved in the show is welcome to use it.  Jim from UPTOWN MUSIC is reserving it for us.  You will see the FoodForFashion poster and know you are in the right booth.  If you need minor assistance, Jim will be in the main tent running sound so you can find him at the sound board.  500 people are expected to come by the booth during those hours due to a Chamber festival tour event.  Take advantage!

The FoodForFashion Show is gaining momentum.  Here are some recent
updates:

The deadline is May 1, 2008 to:

1. e-mail promo material for the printed programs.

2. Enter DVD with music and images to be projected onto the screen behind
the runway.  (If you do not have a computer program to make a DVD, you can
send an MP3 of the music and an image.  Or you can send a CD plus promo
materials via snail mail to:

3. If you will be using our volunteer models --
Send the models' names in the order that they will be coming
down the runway.  (We must avoid conflicts when arranging show segments and
backstage dressing schedules.)


    If you miss the deadline contact me.   You may still be able to be
included but there are no guarantees.
